change

Well so much has been going on and well I just haven't felt like blogging much. My mind has mostly been on my dear friend and her family. She is such a strong woman. The funeral was on Wednesday and it was absolutely beautiful. You walked out knowing that your life would be changed forever. It was said not to ask why this happened but to ask yourself how can Kia's life make a change in your life. I could feel the love of God everywhere and what an awesome feeling.

My friend and her family has family night once a week. I remember being a little girl and going to her house for family night. For her family there was prayer, scripture, conversation, singing, and laughter. It is something that cost very little but creates a host of wonderful memories. How awesome that she has these memories with her own family now. I have made a challenge for my family to create our own family night and I challenge you too. Sometimes we just have to slow down in this busy world we live in.

Now that I've shared that bit of insight, I can't help but share this picture of my little turkey. We were eating spaghetti for dinner last week and Mattie has gotten in the habit of propping up her foot while she eats. She does it every night at dinner and it just cracks me up!
