I've noticed that some people have their friend list on the side column update as people post something new to their blog. I have tried to figure out how to set mine up like that and can't figure out how. Can anyone kindly tell this bloggy challenged person how to do this. Thanks a bunch in advance!

Ok I'll try to explain how I did it. Go to your layout page and add a gadget, go to blog list and pick it. You just add people blogs and it automatically adds the time they update it. Try that.
Yep, Lacey is right. There are different options concerning what that particular gadget will show. You can show their most recent post ... and that will show when they posted it. I hope you can figure it out.

that is what I do.
I choose that option under 'layout' then picked the one i wanted.
