A father gave his life for his 4 year old son, yesterday on Father's Day. My husband worked with this hero years ago. Yesterday, father and son were out on a sandbar in the river when a branch began to fall. "Bud" pushed his four year old son out of the way and the branch landed on him; killing him.
A father's love.There is no greater gift.....just like the gift our heavenly Father gave us! He gave His life so we could live. My heart goes out to this family and I pray that they will find peace during this difficult time.

Oh my... so tragic. What an amazing Dad. They will be in our prayers.
How tragic! I'll be praying for that family, especially the boy who will grow up without the physical presence of his daddy. But he'll forever know his daddy's sacrificial love for him, and I pray that God will use that to draw the boy and others to Him.
