We have snow!!

So we didn't get snow on Christmas Day but we did wake up to snow today! What a special treat to have no obligations and another relaxing day with the family. I must say I must be getting old since I really don't have any desire to go play in the snow. I just love looking at it. I think Abby would much rather stay inside too. Caroline went out with her friend to play for awhile and has already changed clothes several times. Mattie didn't like the snow last year. This time she actually picked it up and showed some interest in it. She still isn't too sure about walking in it. She just stood in one place picking up the snow and throwing it. A touching Letter

Dear Blogger friends I have missed reading all your wonderful blogs. I just can't seem to manage the time to do everything this Christmas season so my blogging has been put on hold. I just can't do it all I guess. Hopefully I'll get to catch up soon. I hope everyone is having a wonderful and enjoyable Christmas. I know my family has especially enjoyed our time together this year.

I wanted to share this letter that was given to my teacher assistant who drives a bus. She has given me permission to share it. It is a letter written to her by an 8 year old girl that rides on her bus. She is writing in reference to the other children on her bus. I was so touched by this letter. Please take the time to read it. The top of the letter reads "Believe the Spirit".

The last line wouldn't copy all the way but says "I miss people being good."

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve already......where has the time gone? We have been quite busy cooking and wrapping presents. Yesterday, we baked four more loaves of zucchini bread and made gingerbread cookies. What was I thinking? We were in the kitchen all day. The gingerbread cookies were a lot of work and decorating them was an absolute mess.....BUT we had a great time so it was well worth it. After cleaning up that mess, Caroline and Daddy went around the neighborhood delivering the rest of the bread. Today, we are going to make Daddy special cookies that he can eat.....low sugar kind. The children are getting so excited and can't wait for the big day. I really just want to savor the moments. It seems to come and go too fast.

Oh and I am so excited! Mattie sat up from the belly position this morning!! She is doing so well. She was beaming from ear to ear. She has had a lot of floor time lately........since I've been so busy cooking. I guess it has payed off!

How will you spend your days?

I can't believe Christmas is less than a week away! Where did the time go? We finally wrapped a couple of presents and put them under the tree. Mattie spied them immediately and inched herself right over to pick hers out.

Last weekend, we took the girls....Mattie included to see Polar Express at the Imax. Oh my!!! It was wonderful. The whole movie is in 3D. It was the BEST 3D movie I have ever seen. If you get a chance, it is worth the money. You really feel like you are apart of the movie.

My goal is to relax and enjoy the rest of the week with the family....baking cookies, wrapping presents, watching Christmas specials, singing Christmas songs......
