Sometimes I think back to the day we found out the news and how dreadful I thought my life would be. I really don't even know why these thoughts even enter the mind. It wasn't like I thought she was dreadful but the situation. I felt so sorry for her. For all the things I didn't think she would be able to experience. The things that she would miss out on. The irony to it all is that we were the ones missing out. She is the one who has brought new experiences to our lives. We are more enriched and see the world in a whole different light.
Thank you God for sending me this little girl~

This is so true! It is so crazy how I used to pray that Lily would not be born with ds (Because we didn't know if she had it)...It almost scares me sometimes that we were so selfish..and we would have robbed ourselves of the blessing of who she is.
Thanks so much for sharing your heart:)
Beautiful post Kim.
They are a true blessing.
Look how curly her hair is! I love it, and I love the way our lives change having these angels in it. We realize that they are not so different after all!
look how big she's getting! and so beautiful!
